TradeLens

Overview

A groundbreaking collaboration between IBM and Maersk, sought to transform the global shipping industry by digitizing the supply chain with blockchain technology. As a UI/UX on the IBM iX team, I was instrumental in developing a unique visual identity for TradeLens, from creating custom illustrative graphics for video output to translating complex design concepts for the development teams. My efforts were crucial in creating a compelling website and effective messaging that clearly demonstrated the value of TradeLens, leading to widespread adoption across the industry.

Challenge

The creation of TradeLens presented a formidable challenge: how to convince an entire industry to transition from traditional, paper-based methods to a blockchain-enabled digital system. The project aimed to modernize global trade by offering an integrated, secure platform for real-time information sharing and transparency across the shipping industry.

Soulution

As a key member of the IBM iX design team, my role was to develop a visual identity and digital interface for TradeLens that encapsulated the innovation of the platform while enhancing user engagement. As a part of the IBM iX design team we crafted an intuitive website and digital tools that effectively organized and presented crucial resources like design thinking materials and case studies. This strategic design approach not only made the TradeLens ecosystem accessible but also compellingly demonstrated its benefits, facilitating user understanding and interaction across the global shipping industry at every touch point.
